What's new in the Federation

World Team and Individual Backgammon Championships Concluded

Last week, the World Team and Individual Backgammon Championships, organized by the WBGF – World Backgammon Federation, came to an end. A record 28 national teams participated in the World Team Championship. The Netherlands won the title, defeating Belgium 4–1 in the final. Japan finished in third place. The Bosnia and Herzegovina national team competed in Group A, together with the national teams of Austria, Wales, Belgium, South Africa, England, and Denmark.

The 3rd BiH Team Backgammon Championship has ended.

In an extremely strong competition and dramatic finale, the championship title was won by TK “VeleĹľ” Mostar.

  • 2nd TK “Zrinjski” Mostar
  • 3rt TK “Stari Grad” Mostar.

Nothing new in Bihać. Fantastic atmosphere. Excellent host. Comfort…

It was a pleasure to host the tournament. Thank you to all the players for making my job easier with their sportsmanship.

Another successful project of TBG BiH is behind us. At the next tournament, we are looking for an individual champion of BiH. See you in Donji Vakuf.

3rd Rating tournament

The 3rd Rating Tournament has ended

Organized by Backgammon club “Liska” and the Backgammon Association in BiH, the 2nd rating tournament was held as part of the BGF BiH calendar.

70 players from 9 BGF BiH member clubs participated in the tournament.

  • 1st place - Benjamin ÄŚamo
  • 2nd place - DraĹľenko VuÄŤina
  • 3rt place - Benjamin Zornić

According to the tournament director’s report, the tournament was held in fair and correct play, with good organization.

About the Backgammon Federation of B&H

The Backgammon Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is an association of clubs and organizations that voluntarily join together to coordinate their specific and common interests with the aim of implementing the rules prescribed by the Association’s regulations and the rules of the World Backgammon Federation (WBGF), as well as planning, organizing, and promoting the development of tavla and backgammon in Bosnia and Herzegovina on the principles of full equality, responsibility, mutual understanding, and respect.

The Federation is a non-partisan and non-political organization. Its activities exclude racial, national, religious, and political discrimination, as well as any violation of human rights and freedoms.

We organize team and individual championships, league competitions, and open tournaments throughout the year.
